WORKSHOPS
This workshop is designed to encourage methods toward the creative act, including movement invention, improvisation, scoring and compositional tools.
Working in solo, duet and group formations to create short movement studies, there is something in this workshop for movers of all levels. Each individual will come away from this workshop with new skills and a deeper level of engagement with the creative process. The work is focused on getting to the “origin” of each student from which to develop original movement.
Tracey has been choreographing professionally for almost a decade and has presented her work throughout Canada. She currently teaches Dance Composition to 2nd year students in York University’s Dance Department.
"Tracey's creative process workshop was incredible for my students. They were intrigued, curious and enthusiastic to participate in all aspects of the workshop. Tracey helped create an open, safe, creative space for students to take risks and feel good about their choices in creation. I believe anyone would benefit from participating in her workshops."
